Andhra Pradesh's ruling YSRCP lawmaker, BiyyapuMadhusudhan Reddy has built a "temple" in honour of Chief MinisterY.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy at a cost of Rs 2 crore.

Madhusudhan Reddy built the temple at Rajeevnagar inSrikalahasti and named it "Navaratnala Nilayam", a mix of welfareschemes from the Chief Minister.

He also erected a statue of the Chief Minister, as wellas small monuments for government schemes such as rythu bharosa, pensions,Aarogyasri, amma vodi, fees reimbursement, house site for the poor, and others.

Madhusudhan Reddy has also set up an "offering"box which doesn't collect money but complaints from the general public.

For 'prasadam' (consecrated food), the MLA is handing outpublicity material on the various welfare schemes being offered in the southernstate.

Meanwhile, this move of the Andhra Government has receivedflak from opposition parties. Even people on social media posted negativecomments and said it’s wastage of tax payers’ hard earned money.

The country needs better medical and educationalinfrastructure while what the governments are focusing on is building statuesand temples, said one of the social media users.
