He himself was involved in the IndianIndependence movement and inspired many others to join the Indian National Armyand fight for the Independence of India.

Hiscontribution in history is so great that some people believe he is still alive.Besides, many more believe that he did not die on August 18, 1945 in a planecrash in Formosa.

Accordingto government documents, Subhas Chandra Bose died in a plane crash on 18 August1945.  It is said that the plane in whichSubhash Chandra Bose was going to Manchuria went missing on the way.  The disappearance of his plane raised manyquestions as to whether the plane had crashed.

In thesame year, the Japanese government issued a news report stating that SubhasChandra Bose's plane had crashed in Taiwan, due to which he died. But after afew days, the Japanese government confirmed that there was no plane accidenthappened in Taiwan that day.  This statementincreased the doubt that when there was no plane crash, where did Netajidisappear?

SubhasChandra Bose's death also remains a mystery because it was alleged that at thattime Jawaharlal Nehru had spying on Bose's family.  In April 2015, two IB’s files on the issuebecame public, following which a controversy arose.  According to these files, the IB spied onNetaji's family for nearly two decades in independent India.  Many people believe that Nehru was alsosuspicious of Subhas Chandra Bose's death, so he used to get the letters of theBose family checked so that if Netaji contacts the family, his whereaboutscould be traced.

Later, many files related to the death of Subhash Chandra were made public by thegovernment, but from these files such strong evidence could not be found, whichcould claim that Subhash Chandra Bose died in the plane crash itself.  Netaji's supporters believe that he was aliveat the time of the country's independence but there is no evidence of thiseither.  Even today the question remainswhether Subhas Chandra Bose died in a plane crash in 1945?  If yes, was it an accident or murder?  If not, where did Netaji disapper and whyshould he remain hidden from the world?
