Did you know that Shahrukh Rukh Khan, the Bollywood superstar, was not Shimit Amin's first choice for the smash hit sports drama Chak de! India.

Well, it may come as a surprise to many who were blown away by SRK's success as coach Kabir Khan, but the truth is that SRK only got the job after another Khan turned it down.

Wouldn't it be interesting to learn which of the Khans was offered the part before SRK? It was none other than Salman Khan, the Bhaijaan of Bollywood.

Now, one has to wonder what made Bhaijaan turn down this incredible film, which was produced by Aditya Chopra under the YRF banner.

Salman spilled the beans and explained in great detail about giving up the film at a promotional event for his film Sultan.
He joked, "I left it because even Shah Rukh Khan should be a part of a few great films.”

Salman khan revealed the real reason. He said, "When I was offered Chak De, my image for totally different as I was doing Partner and all this kind of films. My only thing in Chak De was that my fans would expect me to wear a wig and win the match for India, which would not go for the film. That was not my genre at that point in time. It was a more serious kind of film and I was doing more of a commercial kind of cinema, which I am still doing. I would never move out of the commercial cinema zone, but it is just that there would be a lot of meaningful cinema in the commercial zone.”

After reaching a career low, a hockey player finds redemption in training a motley group of people who form a women's hockey team in this 2007 film. It earned numerous accolades and was critically praised, as well as being one of the year's highest-grossing films.

At the moment, Salman Khan is all set for the release of his upcoming movie Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai slated to hit OTT and the theatres on May 13, while SRK is caught up with his upcoming project, Pathan, which apparently will release in hit the screens in 2022.
