In Punjab, 13 toll plazas of 7 districts have been made free for 3 hours. Qaumi Insaaf Morcha and farmer organizations are protesting here demanding the release of captive Sikhs.
After this, vehicles are coming and going from here for free. Toll plazas will remain free till 2 pm. In view of the demonstration, all the employees deployed at the toll booths have moved away from there.
Leaders of Qaumi Insaaf Morcha say that for the last one year, dharnas have been organized on their behalf at the Punjab-Chandigarh border. A full year passed on January 6. But neither the central nor the state government has taken appropriate steps regarding their demands. At the same time, farmers organizations have come in support of the call of Insaaf Morcha.
