Tom Sizemore, ‘Saving Private Ryan’ actor dies at 61 after suffering brain aneurysm

Tom Sizemore had been in coma in the ICU of Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Los Angeles as he was hospitalized there on 18th February after suffering brain aneurysm.

Tom Sizemore, a famous American actor died on Friday in an L.A.-area hospital after his family decided to remove him from life support. The Saving Private Ryan actor was receiving treatment in the hospital after suffering brain aneurysm at his home on February 18 which caused him to lose consciousness. Charles Lago shared the news of demise of Tom Sizemore and stated, “It is with great sadness and sorrow I have to announce that actor Thomas Edward Sizemore aged 61 passed away peacefully in his sleep today at St Joseph’s Hospital Burbank. His Brother Paul and twin boys Jayden and Jagger were at his side.

For the unversed, Tom Sizemore had been in coma in the ICU of Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Los Angeles as he was hospitalized there on 18th February after suffering brain aneurysm. Just a few days back Tom Sizemore’s family shared his health update that saddened all his fans as the family members stated that there was no hope of recovery left for the actor. On 27th February 2023, Sizemore’s representative, Charles Lago, issued a statement revealing that there was no chance for his recovery.

Tom Sizemore was a wonderful American actor and had a long career in films as well as television. He was known for his appearances as the battle-tested sergeant alongside Tom Hanks' side in Saving Private Ryan in 1998 and as the Army Ranger battalion commander in Black Hawk Down in 2001. He was also nominated for a Golden Globe Award in 2000 for his performance in Witness Protection.

Also, Tom Sizemore’s life has never been a bed of roses. The actor has gone through various ups and downs in his life. The actor confessed to being addicted to cocaine, heroin, and meth at CNN’s Larry King conducted the interview in 2010. The actor has been arrested multiple times for drug abuse, possession, and driving under the influence. He also sought treatment for heroin and methamphetamine usage. In 2003, Sizemore was found guilty of assaulting his girlfriend, Heidi Fleiss. The Red Planet actor was detained twice in Los Angeles, once in 2009 for alleged violence on a former spouse and again in 2011.
