A Ukrainian woman took herself topless at the Cannes Film Festival to protest against Russian soldiers. She took off her clothes to reveal the message against rape written on her body. According to a report, she also crashed while protesting.

At the Cannes Film Festival, red carpet premiere of George Miller's "3,000 Years of Longing" on Friday, May 20, a woman suddenly arrived with her body painted the colour of the Ukrainian flag with the words "Stop raing Us".  Before the sight of the security guards, this woman had caught everyone's attention.

The Cannes Film Festival being held in France is currently being discussed all over the world, but a woman who walked the red carpet in Cannes suddenly came into the limelight when she went topless while protesting the Ukraine war.


Hundreds of rape cases were reported in Ukrainian territories occupied by Russian troops

Ukraine's President Zelensky said last month that investigators had received reports of hundreds of rapes in areas occupied by Russian troops, including the sexual assault of young children. Former actor Zelensky also made a video appeal for aid to his country at the Cannes opening ceremony on Tuesday. War has already been a major theme at Cannes with a special screening of "Mariopolis 2" on Thursday.

"Mariupol 2" is a documentary film by Lithuanian director Mantas Kvedaravicius, who was killed in Ukraine last month. Ukraine's beleaguered filmmakers will get a special day Saturday and one of its most promising directors, Sergei Loznitsa, will show a natural history of destruction about the bombing of German cities in World War II.

The President of Ukraine gave an emotional message at the Cannes ceremony

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky delivered an emotional address via a live satellite video address at the opening ceremony of the 75th edition of the Cannes Film Festival and called on filmmakers to confront dictators. Russia's war in Ukraine has been in the spotlight at this year's Cannes Festival. Several films by Ukrainian filmmakers are being screened here.

Women of the women's group have also protested

This group of women, named 'Female', has been strongly critical of President Vladimir Putin in the past. These women performed this topless outside the Russian Embassy in Madrid, Spain on 3 March 2022.
