The much-awaited Mexican mystery thriller Triptych was finally released on OTT giant Netflix on February 20, 2023. The 8-episode mystery-thriller, Triptych is a true story that revolves around of the real-life tale of three triplet brothers named David Kellman, Eddy Galland, and Robert Shafran, whose story came to light in the 1980s. However, Triptych's plot that is streaming on Netflix film is quite different than the real triplets' story, though. However, it is quite understandable that the makers have taken the liberty to somewhat tweak the facts in order to add dramatization. Triptych has some stellar starcast including Maite Perroni as triplets Rebecca, Aleida and Tamara, David Chocarro as Rebecca’s boss, Captain Solana, Flavio Medina as Aleida’s husband, Eugenio, Nuria Bages as Aleida’s psychiatrist, and Dr. Bátiz Ofelia Medina as Rebecca’s mother, Dolores. Who are the real triplets?

Although Rebecca is the triplet in the series Triptych, in reality it is a story of three 'boy' triplets. The brothers, who never knew about each other while growing up, had been adopted from the Louise Wise agency. The agency later claimed it had decided to split the brothers up since it would be hard to find a family willing to adopt three children at one time. However, it would later be discovered that the triplets were part of an experimental study that the adoption agency agreed to, which studied how social contexts impacted people with identical genetics.

Three Identical Strangers is a set of identical triplet brothers, who have been adopted as infants by separate families. After the adoption, for an experiment, they have been separated and they have managed to meet by chance when they were young adults. David Kellman, Eddy Galland, and Bobby Shafran, Bobby Shafran is also known as Robert Shafran, they are the three brothers, who have soon become a media sensation, ended up living together and started running their own restaurant. There was a sad announcement, documentary also revealed that, Eddy Galland died by suicide in 1995. And in the film, it was highlighted that for a number of years, David and Bobby had not been very close.

On digging multiple US media reports, True Scoop News found that David Kellman has married Janet and they both also have two daughters. Ali and Reyna are the two daughters of David Kellman and Janet. And according to the New York Post, David Kellman and Janet are going through a divorce. He lives in New Jersey and he works in life insurance and specialises in annuities and healthcare. It has been said that David is still in contact with Eddy’s wife and daughter and said that his daughter is friends with Eddy’s daughter. After a long, tense relationship, David and Bobby get on really well now and go golfing together. Bobby Shafran has married and has two children, a boy, and a girl. Brandon and Elyssa are the children of Bobby Shafran. Now he lives in Gravesend, Brooklyn and he works as a lawyer. Due to the motorcycle accident that happened in 2011 for Bobby, he works only part time.

Triptych storyline

After encountering a dying stranger who looks exactly like her, a forensics agent (Maite Perroni) sets out on a perilous journey to find the truth behind her own identity. As she seeks answers, she uncovers a web of elaborate secrets and lies. The Mexican mystery thriller, created by screenwriter Leticia López Margalli (Dark Desire), premiered February 22 on Netflix.
