Simranjit Singh Mann, the newly appointed Sangrur MP, could face more challenges. A few days back, he had called Shaheed Bhagat Singh a terrorist. A complaint has been lodged against him by Delhi BJP Mahila Morcha General Secretary Tina Kapoor Sharma at Parliament Street Police Station. Demand has been made to register a case against Mann. Tina Kapoor said that she will wait for 15 days, if the police do not take action, then she will go to court against it.
She said, “I am from a military family. Shaheed Bhagat Singh was the freedom fighter of the country. He was a true patriot. Calling them terrorists is an anti-national activity. This has hurt the sentiments of crores of Indians. Mann's statement is shameful.”

Mann said that Bhagat Singh killed the British officer and an Amritdhari Sikh constable Channan. He threw a bomb in the National Assembly. So, it is true that Bhagat Singh is a terrorist. Mann refused to apologize for his statement.
