Truecaller CEO offers dream job to Indian-origin student in Canada trolled for 'dream of leaving India' remarks

Amid heavy social media trolling, Indian-origin student Ekta has now gotten a dream job offer from none other than Truecaller CEO Alan Mamedi.

An Indian-origin student living in Canada for her studies sparked a massive debate on social media after she expressed why he shifted to the North American country rather than staying in her own home country. Indian-origin student named Ekta's video is doing rounds on social media in which she was asked a question about why she left India apparently by a YouTuber. Ekta came under the scanner of social media and was subject to trolling after after she stated that she always dreamt of leaving India and shift to Canada for her education so that she can enjoy the country's sunrise. EKta while talking to the anchor informed that she is studying biotech in Canada and also expressed that he aspires to become a businesswoman in the future. Amid heavy social media trolling, Ekta has now gotten a dream job offer from none other than Truecaller CEO Alan Mamedi. Below i how things unfolded-

In the viral video, Ekta says, "My name is Ekta...It was a dream for me to come here (Canada) like to go out from my home country. My home country is India. I am studying biotech. I am implying to do business." Ekta was then asked what was her favorite thing about Canada. She answered, "You can just walk around and you can see the scenery and you can see the sunrise and sunset, that's my favorite part." The remarks by Ekta did go well with a certain section of netizens and as a result she was subject to social media trolling.

Although Ekta was immensely criticized by netizens, Truecaller CEO Alan Mamedi came out in her support and even went on to give her a job offer. Reacting to Indian origin student Ekta viral video, Truecaller CEO Alan Mamedi wrote, "People really want to misunderstand her to make fun of her. This is not OK!! Ekta, don't listen to all these clowns making fun of you. I think you're cool and living the dream! When you're done with school, you're welcome to work at Truecaller in any of our offices around the 'world'"
