Namastey Trump: US President to talk on issue of religious freedom and CAA with PM Modi

A senior US official on NRC and CAA said, "President Trump will talk about our shared tradition of democracy & liberty of freedom in both his public remarks and in private. He will particularly raise the religious freedom issue that's very important for this Trump administration.

US President Donald Trump to India is getting controversial day by day. At one part the exceeding expectations and hopes of Trump on his visit to India and now official statement of White house outlined the issue of the controversial Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). 

A senior US official on NRC and CAA said, "President Trump will talk about our shared tradition of democracy & liberty of freedom in both his public remarks and in private. He will particularly raise the religious freedom issue that's very important for this Trump administration.

The official also added, "We are concerned about the issues that have been raised. President will talk about these issues, in his meetings with PM Modi and will convey that the world is looking at India to continue to uphold its democratic traditions."

More than the excitement of US President, the negative and criticising comment are making row. As per US administration official, United States has seen India budget process, it (India) recently raised tariffs on products of interest to the US.

On the relation of India and Pakistan, the official said, "We continue to believe the core foundation of any successful dialogue between India & Pakistan is based on continuing momentum and efforts to crack down terrorists & extremists. We continue to look for that."

"The President will urge both the countries to seek and maintain peace and stability around the Line of Control (LoC) and refrain from actions or statements that could increase tensions in the region," the official added.
