Ahead of Trump's visit to India, US Prez claims I am 1st on Facebook, PM Modi 2nd, stirs new dilemma

US President Donald Trump seems excited for his first, two-day visit to India. He is expecting millions of people to hail him at the airport as well as in the home state of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Recently, Trump claimed Facebook's chief executive, Mark Zuckerberg, said he was "Number 1" on the social media platform, and PM Modi follows him in this race and stands second.

In fact, Prez Trump gets it wrong and seems to be in dilemma. According to Twiplomacy's 2019 rankings, PM Modi is leading in the race, he's among the world's most admired political leaders, with more than 44 million followers on Facebook. However, Donald Trump doesm't stand nearby him. Trump is a distant second with nearly 26 million followers.

Interestingly, Barack Obama, former US president has around 55 million Facebook followers.

Although, each of the prominent political leaders are far behind Mark Zuckerberg himself. Football legends Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have around 90 million and 122.5 million followers, respectively. Shakira has 100 million. And Facebook's official page on its own website is tracked by over 214.5 million people, making it the most followed account.

Donald Trump will be arriving in India on February 24. During his visit, he is likely to vist Ahemadabad and Delhi. His visit indicates the strengthening of strategic ties.

"Looking forward to it!" he said in his Saturday tweet. And so is PM Modi.
