Legal team of Donald Trump has accused House Democrats ofindulging in political theater. Lawyers also said that the impeachment trialthat is going to begin very soon is unconstitutional because they say Trump isno more a President.

Trump's lawyers in a pre-trial brief filed on Mondaysaid, "This was only ever a selfish attempt by Democratic leadership inthe House to prey upon the feelings of horror and confusion that fell upon allAmericans across the entire political spectrum upon seeing the destruction atthe Capitol on January 6 by a few hundred people." It has been mentionedin a report of CNN.

The brief further added, "Instead of acting to healthe nation, or at the very least focusing on prosecuting the lawbreakers whostormed the Capitol, the Speaker of the House and her allies have tried tocallously harness the chaos of the moment for their own political gain."

In response to the filing of the Trump's team, houseimpeachment managers filed their response. They added, "The evidence ofPresident Trump's conduct is overwhelming. He has no valid excuse or defensefor his actions. And his efforts to escape accountability are entirelyunavailing," the House managers write. "As charged in the Article ofImpeachment, President Trump violated his Oath of Office and betrayed theAmerican people. His incitement of insurrection against the United Statesgovernment -- which disrupted the peaceful transfer of power -- is the mostgrievous constitutional crime ever committed by a president."

According to the House breif, Trump can stand trialbecause he allegedly committed crime while he was holding office. The lawyersof Donald Trump argued that the comment made by Trump in which he was seensaying fight like hell were not literal.
