UAE Government announces four and a half day working week from January 1

The working week will start on Monday and end by Friday afternoon

Working five or six days a week, sometimes create stress on a person’s mind and body. This will ultimately lead to various diseases. Everyone wishes for a long weekend to relax them from a hectic schedule.

 

What if we tell you that only working for four and a half days in a week is good enough??

 

Yes, you heard it right. United Arab Emirates government has made this dream come true for the people residing in their country. People will get a full weekend i.e., with Friday afternoon, Saturday, and Sunday forming the new weekend.

 

With this move, UAE has become the first nation to implement such rule for their employees. The working week will start on Monday and end by Friday afternoon. On Friday, employees will work for only 4.5 hours. Not only this, but On Fridays, employees, will also be allowed to choose flexible work or work-from-home options.

They wrote on their Twitter handle, “#UAE announces today that it will transition to a four and a half-day working week, with Friday afternoon, Saturday and Sunday forming the new weekend. All Federal government departments will move to the new weekend from January 1, 2022.”
