In a gruesome and shocking incident, a man was beheaded in broad daylight by two men in Udaipur’s Maldas street area on Tuesday for sharing a social media post in support of Nupur Sharma, now suspended BJP leader over her controversial remarks on Prophet Mohammed. The Udaipur beheading incident shocked the entire nation, as the murder was filmed by the assailants and later uploaded on social media. 

Reportedly, Kanhaiya Lal Sahu was a tailor by profession, and the name of the murderers are Mohammed Riyaz Akhtar and Mohammed Gosh. While Kanhaiya was innocently talking to them, suddenly one of the murderers attacked him from behind. Soon, both Mohammed Riyaz Akhtar and Mohammed Gosh started thrashing and Kanhaiya was screaming saying 'Bhaiya maine kya kia (Big brother what have I done?)'. 


Following the Udaipur murder case, Mohammed Riyaz Akhtar and Mohammed Gosh took the responsibility and also uploaded their video for the same. IN the video, both the murderers were also seen issuing a threat to PM Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. 

Rajasthan CM and Congress leader Ashok Gehlot condemned the gruesome Udaipur murder case and also asked PM Modi to address the nation. "It's a sad & shameful incident. There's a tense atmosphere in the nation today. Why don't PM & Amit Shah ji address the nation? There is tension among people. PM should address the public and say that such violence won't be tolerated & appeal for peace," said Ashok Gehlot."

Reportedly,  Internet services have been temporarily suspended for the next 24 hours in Udaipur district. Also, a statewide alert has been issued to all SPs & IGs to increase the mobility of forces and to maintain officers on the ground. We're assessing the law and order situation to take further decisions. As per ADG Udaipur, two ADGPs from Jaipur, one more SP, and 600 additional police forces have been sent to Udaipur.
