Udaipur Murder case: Kanhaiya Lal's wife Yashoda demands 'Hang the accused', crowd chants 'Hang them'

Udaipur: Tension prevailed in the area due to the Udaipur tailor murder case. The precautionary security system has been tightened further. By profession Tailor Kanhaiya Lal was cremated on Wednesday afternoon in Udaipur, Rajasthan. At the same time, in the midst of all this, Yashoda, wife of the deceased Kanhaiya Lal, told to news agency what happened before the incident. Yashoda told that her husband Kanhaiya Lal had left work for several days after receiving death threats on a social media post. 

Kanhaiya's wife, who came to the media, said that hang my husband's accused… otherwise, they will kill many people. Despite Section 144, a huge crowd was present at the funeral. During the last journey, people raised slogans of 'hang them.. hang them'. On Tuesday, the police arrested both the accused Ghaus Mohammad and Riyaz Jabbar from Rajsamand. Apart from these, 3 other people have also been caught by the police. There is a suspicion of having links with some terrorist organization. 

After the murder of Kanhaiya Lal (Udaipur Tailor Murder), the internet has been closed for 24 hours in Rajasthan. Along with this, Section 144 has been implemented for 1 month. Police have been deployed in Udaipur city. There is a curfew in 7 police station areas. Many cities including Udaipur, Jhalawar, Dungarpur, and Rajsamand are closed in protest against the incident.


Kanhaiya Lal's wife also added that her husband decided to start his work again. Meanwhile, he had gone to work for a few hours. Then two men came, who looked like a customer. Kanhaiya started taking measurements of one of them. Then he was attacked with a sharp weapon. Another person was making a video of this whole incident. Then, both of them left with the bike. Both the accused hide their face so not to reveal their identities.

Regarding the investigation of the Udaipur massacre, the central government has said that the investigation of the case will also be done from the angle of terrorism. After this, the Ministry of Home Affairs handed over the investigation to the anti-terrorism agency NIA. The Ministry of Home Affairs has given this information by tweeting. Kanhaiya Lal had expressed support on social media for Nupur Sharma, the former BJP spokesperson, whose controversial remarks on Prophet Mohammad had created a huge controversy at home and abroad.

Kanhaiya Lal was arrested on June 10 for posting a post in support of Nupur Sharma on social media. When he came out on bail on June 15, he told the police that his neighbours were threatening him.

After the incident, a curfew has been imposed in seven police station areas of Udaipur till further orders at eight o'clock in the night and Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has appealed to the public to maintain peace. Chief Secretary Usha Sharma held a high-level meeting on Tuesday evening and directed all the Divisional Commissioners, Inspector Generals of Police and District Magistrates to take special vigil across the state.
