While India is celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi 2023 will full of enthusiasm & fervor; Hindus celebrating the festival peacefully in Leicester were disrupted by regional Police. As per reports, on September 19, a Leicester Police officer named Adam Ahmed along with his team used excessive force on an elderly priest of Indian origin who was celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi in the United Kingdom. Now, Leicester Ganesh Chaturthi's video is doing rounds on social media and netizens have been fuming over the incident. The video clearly showcased Leicester Police Officer Adam Ahmed behaving rudely with the priest and the Hindu devotees who tried to stop him.

Multiple videos were shared on social media in which Adam Ahmed was seen manhandling British Hindus. Adam Ahmed came under the scanner of social media as it is not the first time he has been caught disrupting a peaceful Hindu celebration. As per reports, Adam Ahmed's video went viral back in July when he was seen harassing Hindu devotees who went to attend Ram Katha by Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri of Bageshwar Dham. Insight UK, a social movement of British Hindus and Indians, took to their official X handle and asked Leicester whether Hindus have any rights to celebrate their festival or not.

"Last night Officer Adam Ahmed of Leicestershire Police used what we believe is excessive force against peaceful Hindu devotees celebrating #GaneshChaturthi. Last year's attacks and now this. @leicspolice - Do Hindus in #Leicester not have the right to celebrate our festivals?"

The irony of the incident is UK's Prime Minister is Rishi Sunak who often flaunts his Hindu identity publically. In fact, Rishi Sunak during his visit to India for G20 Summit stated that he is proud to be a Hindu and also visited the Akshardham Temple in New Delhi.

It is pertinent to mention here that Leicester administration has not issued any statement as of now. However, several videos showed Adam Ahmed not only manhandling the Hindu priest but also confronting another person of Indian origin. A woman who tried to argue with him that he could not take the priest away was ignored by the police personnel.

This police Muslim officer has no right to lay a finger on anyone! Yet, here he is manhandling all the peaceful Hindus celebrating their religious day .. Arrest this Somali Muslim police officer! He clearly has hatred for Hindus! Why has he not been suspended from the police force? Hindu minority are no longer safe in Leicester."
