Underground tunnel unearthed by BSF at Jammu, fourth such tunnel in six months

The tunnel was found in the Jammu's Pansar area after getting inputs from the intelligence.

In the past six months, the Border Security Force (BSF) have unearthed a tunnel along the international border at Jammu on January 23 as per a special report of Peerzada Ashiq in The Hindu.

The tunnel was found in the Jammu's Pansar area after getting inputs from the intelligence. It is expected to have dug up to push trained and armed militants in India, according to a BSF spokesperson.

BSF detected the tunnel between border post number 14 and 15 that is 150 metres long and 30 feet deep, according to the official spokesperson.

Similar to this tunnel, another tunnel was detected in November 22, 2020 and another such tunnel was detected in January 13 at Samba district of Jammu.

According to the report, it is the fourth such tunnel detected in the past six months. Around 10 such tunnels were detected in the last year as per the spokesperson.
