UnemployedYouth have started agitation against Bhagwant Mann led Punjab Government. Thisis for the first time that unemployed youth have mounted a water tank duringBhagwant Maan Government. These youth were recruited by Punjab Police about 6 years back but are yet to receive their joining letters.
The youth claimthat before elections, Bhagwant Maan used to visit them and promised them ofredress their problems once He assume power but now, He is not even meetingthem let alone solutions. CM Maan has called them to his residence on 28thMarch after their Dharna at Sangrur, the home district of the CM but refused tomeet them when they visited.
Speakingfurther, protesters namely Navdeep Singh and Amandeep Kaur said thatrecruitment was held for 7416 posts in 2016 and thus the matter is pendingsince 6 long years. The process has been completed and verification has also been done butthey are yet to join the job.
It may benoted that AAP had made Unemployment and protests by Unemployed youth a bigissue during polls and Arvind Kejriwal had promised teachers perched onwater tanks in Mohali that nothing of the sort will happen again if AAP isvoted to power.
But have the things changed? This remains a big question.........
