
The Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh will be heading the all-party meeting on Saturday, where he will be briefing the Opposition on the situation of the Kashmir after 40 CRPF soldiers were martyred in an unexpected attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama on Thursday.
On Friday, after attending the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) meeting, Mr Singh held a high level meeting with the top officials of the Army, CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir Police in the state.
The Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said that, it was already decided in CCS meeting that the Home Minister will hold the all-party meeting, once he is back from Srinagar.
This will be the first occasion when the ruling Government has called an all-party meeting and the main Opposition party Congress has increased all support to the Government.
