Unknown assailants open fire at former Sarpanch house, mother-son admitted to Sultanpur Lodhi hospital

Udik Chand, son of former sarpanch of village Bhagobuddha, under treatment at Sultanpur Lodhi Civil Hospital, told that on Wednesday morning 3-4 unknown persons entered his house and started abusing his mother Geeta Rani as soon as they entered the house.

In village Bhagobudda, some unknown persons entered the house of a former sarpanch this morning and started firing In which a mother-son were seriously injured and have been admitted to the Civil Hospital of Sultanpur Lodhi for treatment.

According to the information, Udik Chand, son of former sarpanch of village Bhagobuddha, under treatment at Sultanpur Lodhi Civil Hospital, told that on Wednesday morning 3-4 unknown persons entered his house and started abusing his mother Geeta Rani as soon as they entered the house. His mother runs a dairy at home. When his mother raised an alarm, the said unidentified persons attacked her with sharp weapons, when he came running after hearing the noise, the said attackers started firing on him, whose bullet hit his thighs.

Hearing the noise immediately the villagers reached the spot, overpowered one of the attackers, and handed him over to the police. The villagers took both of them to Civil Hospital Sultanpur Lodhi in injured condition. Where the doctors referred Geeta Rani to a private hospital in Jalandhar. Police has reached the spot for investigation

SHO Sub-Inspector Lakhwinder Singh of Thana Kabirpur said that the investigation of the incident is going on and action will be taken against the accused on the statement of the injured
