Uorfi stoked controversy when he took to her Twitter handle and shared the trailer of the women-centric movie ‘Panch Kriti' but stated that no one will watch the movie at all.
What irked netizens on social media when Uorfi wrote that nobody will watch this movie and went on to say how India is recognised because of its urban areas and not rural places. “Desh Ki Pahechan Urban India Hai, Rural Bharat Se Nahi...Gramin Bharat Pe Movie Bana Ke Aur Audiance Mein TV, Smartphone, Cycle, Smartwatches De Ke Kya Faida??? Koi Nai Dekehga #PanchKriti Main Likh Ke Deti Hu!" she wrote.
This viewpoint of Uorfi did not go well with netizens and therefore the model became the talk of the town and was slammed on social media.

Before this Uorfi grabbed the headlines for taking a dig at rising Tomato prices in India. She donned earrings made of tomatoes. She dropped a series of pictures in which she was seen sporting tomatoes as earrings. Not just as earrings, she is also seen eating a raw tomato in one of the videos. She captioned the post, "Tomatoes are the new gold (sic)."
