In the latest development of the raids being carried out at the residences of prophets of churches, the reason behind the same has come to the fore. As per sources, the raids at the residences of Prophet Baljinder & Harpreet Deol are regarding the funds received by them from abroad for religious conversion.
Bajinder Singh's house in Mohali and the house of a church prophet in Amritsar have also been raided. The Income Tax raids are still going on and a paramilitary force has been deployed outside their residences.
Reportedly, the Income Tax raids took place in Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Amritsar and Mohali. Sources revealed that Income Tax department received some reports of connection of money transactions with foreign countries for religious conversion. Post getting some inputs on the same, IT carried out raids in various cities of Punjab.
