The incident took a funny yet untidy when the fan spit gutka (tobacco) in front of Urfi Javed before taking a selfie. As soon as the man spit the gutka, Urfi Javed burst into laughter. Urfi Javed was laughing so hard that she could not even pose for the selfie, however, the man took the selfie by keeping his hands on her waist.
When the paparazzi started to tease the man saying 'Gutkalover', the man started to apologise, however, Urfi said 'It's ok' and then the man left fro there. Urfi Javed then asked that paparazzi to change the venue to take the photo as the man spit in front of her. The whole hilarious incident was filmed on camera and the video then viral in no time.

In 2020, Urfi Javed joined Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai as Shivani Bhatia, and later played Tanisha Chakraborty in Kasautii Zindagii Kay. Finally, in 2021, Urfi garnered many appreciations during her short sting at Big Boss OTT hosted by famous Bollywood Produced & Director Karan Johar.
