One of the most developed nations of the world i.e. the USA is witnessing a hard time in the Coronavirus pandemic. US daily COVID-19 cases reached 100,233 on Friday, the highest till now. The recent surge in the cases of Coronavirus is somewhat connected to the ongoing political rallies of Presidential elections of the USA.

A Stanford University study has revealed that 18 re-election campaign rallies of US President Donald Trump have resulted in more than 30,000 coronavirus cases. According to the study, the rallies were held between June 20 and September 23, of which only three took place indoors, The Hill news website reported. The authors of the study said that the rallies increased subsequent confirmed cases by over 250 infections per 100,000 residents.

However, US President Donald Trump in his typical manner alleged that doctors were getting paid more to attribute deaths to Covid-19 as opposed to other causes. Trump said, "Our doctors get more money if someone dies from Covid."

Responding to this, Biden strongly criticized Trump and said, "Did you hear what he said again today? He said that our doctors who are putting their lives on the line-busting their necks are making up deaths from Covid because they ’get more money’. Doctors and nurses go to work every day to save lives — they do their jobs."

While the people of America keep on dying due to COVID-19, US President Donald Trump seems to not accept his governance failures.

Trump came to power with his strong image as a nationalist and he acquired the slogan of 'America First'. He had also made various promises to the people of the USA but were they fulfilled?

One of the major promises made by Trump in the previous election was the building of a wall on the border of Mexico and the USA. Trump had promised to build 1,000 miles of a border wall of 1000 miles however over the past four years only 400 miles of border barriers were constructed.

According to a tracker by PolitiFact, Trump has broken about half of 100 campaign promises. The fact-checking website does not measure intention, only verifiable outcomes. (On average, presidents break about a third of their promises.

Ahead of Tuesday's presidential election, US President Donald Trump is scheduled to hold 14 rallies in an effort to urge voters to re-elect him for a second term.

In a statement on Friday, the President's re-election campaign announced that Trump will hold four rallies in Pennsylvania, a major battleground state, on Saturday, The Hill news website reported.

Therefore the cases of Coronavirus is expected to rise much more in the upcoming days. The question arises in the political turmoil the common citizens of the USA are losing their life.
