UnitedStates Centers For Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on Monday easedCovid-19 related restrictions on India putting it under Level 1 (Low Risk) fromLevel 3(High Risk).

“TheCenters For Disease Control and Prevention(CDC) has issued a Level 1 TravelHealth Notice due to COVID 19, indicating a low level of COVID 19 in the country. Yourrisk of contracting COVID 19 and developing severe symptoms may be lower if youare fully vaccinated with an FDA authorized vaccine” The US Department of Statesaid in a statement.

Whileissuing key information regarding travel to India, the CDC Further advised travellersto make sure that they are properly vaccinated and up-to-date with theirvaccines before travelling. The CDC said “ make sure you are vaccinated andup-to-date with your COVID 19 vaccines. Even if you are up-to-date with yourvaccine, you may still be at risk of getting and spreading COVID 19. Anyone 2years or older should properly wear a well fitting mask in indoor public spaces”.
