US: Shootout at Gurudwara in Sacramento County, California leaves 2 injured, watch

In a sad development, two people were shot in a Gurudwara in the US on Sunday. As per police confirmation, the shooting is not related to a hate crime but over a verbal spat that escalated between three acquaintances. Investigation regarding the same is underway. At present, the injured are undergoing treatment in the hospital and their condition remains critical.

Reportedly, on Sunday a shocking incident took place at the Sacramento Sikh Society, located on the 7600 block of Bradshaw Road. The shooting took place at around 2:30 pm while a Nagar Kirtan was being carried out. As per information, around 3 people were involved in a verbal spat which grew up into a physical fight. During the same, one of the youths opened fire and the bullet hit the youth standing nearby. The official spokesperson from Sacramento Country stated that when suspect 2’s was shot down by suspect 1. Then suspect 2 got up and shot at suspect 1 resulting in two people being injured. The third one is on the run and search operation has been initiated to catch him.

At present, both the injured are at hospital undergoing treatment and their condition is critical as per doctors. Police said that a program is organized here in the Gurdwara every Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm. At present, the crime spot has been sealed.
