US President after 35 days, finally backed a deal to fund the federal agencies for three weeks, but it doesn't include any of the money which he has demanded for the US-Mexico border wall.

The Republican President had previously vowed to reject any budget unless it included $5.7bn to fund his signature campaign pledge. But the democrats who contrl the House of Representatives had flatly refused it.

On Friday, the Senate and the House unanimously passed a bill to temporarily end the shutdown.

Speaking in the white House Rose Garden, Mr Trump said that he was "very proud to announce" the agreement which will dund the government till 15 February.

Referring to the federal workers who were affected by the political imbroglio he said that they are "incredible patriots". He also said that they will be receieving the full back-pay.

However, he also added, "We really have no choice but to build a powetrful wall or steel barrier.....If we don't get a fair deal from Congress the government will either shut down on February 15 again or I will use the powers afforded to me under the laws and the constitution of the United Sates to adress this emergency."
