Since you have landed on this page, True Scoop News assumes that you have already watched the trailer of the upcoming movie and have multiple questions related to UT69's true story or charges against Raj Kundra. Below is everything you need to know about UT69 and the charges against businessman Raj Kundra.

Who is Raj Kundra?

Raj Kundra is a British-Indian entrepreneur who was ranked as the 198th richest British Asian by Success. Until his arrest, Kundra was known for his investment in multiple sectors including co-owning an IPL Team Rajasthan Royals. Raj Kundra became a household name when he married veteran Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty in 2009.

All was going well and fine, in July 2021, Raj Kundra along with 11 others was arrested on charges of producing pornographic content. Kundra spent at least two months in judicial custody, Arthur Road Jail to be precise. On September 20 2021, Raj Kundra was granted bail by a Mumbai Court in the pornography case on a surety of Rs 50,000.

To be precise, Raj Kundra was accused of producing adult content for Hotshot app, an OTT platform for adult films abroad. As per the Mumbai Police, the Crime Branch registered a case related to pornographic films in February 2021. "New actors were promised roles in web series and short stories and they were asked to do bold and nude scenes in auditions. Female actors opposed this and approached the Crime Branch based on which a case was registered. During the investigation, nine accused were arrested. Some people forcefully get such films produced," (then) Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime), Milind Bharambe had said.

Following Raj Kundra's arrest, model Poonam Pandey filed a case against him and his associates. Poonam Pandey had alleged that the businessman’s team leaked her personal information online after she terminated her contract with the infamous adult film app he was running. Poonam was quoted saying, "I had to shoot, pose and look a certain way according to their will, or else they said they would leak all of my personal information."

Coming back to Raj Kundra, the businessman is currently out on bail and his case is subjudice as of now. Therefore it is expected that Raj Kundra's film UT69 will portray his life in Arthur Road jail rather than about his sensational case.
