Uttarakhand expected to receive snowfall, rain over the next 5 days, yellow alert issued

By December 13, different parts of Uttarakhand are expected to receive snow, rain and hailstorm, said IMD.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has circulated a 'yellow alert' for Uttarakhand for the coming five days. It has alerted that many districts in the state might receive snowfall and rain.

By December 13, different parts of the state are expected to receive snow, rain and hailstorm, said IMD. 

The Garhwal division is expected to get snowfall on December 12 and 13.

During this period, plain districts like Haridwar and US Nagar will observe thick fog while the hills districts of Uttarkashi, Chamoli Garhwal, Rudraprayag and Pithoragarh are likely to experience snowfall and light rain.

Besides these, other districts are also likely to get light rains, the IMD said.
