All the private schools were closed by the people of Valmiki Ravidas Community in response to the Punjab bandh call. In Kishanpura, Jalandhar, members of the Valmiki community scaled the school's wall and requested the school administration to close the school. When asked, they claimed that they had given them an ultimatum two days ago that Punjab would be closed today. Following that, everyone's assistance was sought. However, by going to the people who are not supporting them, they are asking for their help in closing the school as well as shops.
