Etawah: A major rail mishap was averted near Etawah railway station when a bull was run over by semi high-speed Vande Bharat.

Due to the impact of the blow, the carcass landed on the adjacent track hitting the engine of the Haldia express.           
Etawah station superintendent Puran Lal Meena confirmed to the media about the incidents that occurred on Saturday morning.

Though the Vande Bharat train, after stopping for about 10 minutes continued its onward journey to Varanasi,  Haldia Express was stranded for around three hours as first its cowcatcher was damaged and later the engine stopped working near Sarai Bhupat station. 
       
It took the railway around 3 hours to arrange an alternate engine for the Haldia express to take it to Delhi.
