2 vehicles collide on National Highway in Kapurthala, Ertiga Car falls off from bridge; 3 dead

A collision was reported in the morning between a four-wheeler and an Ertiga car near the Gudana Bridge on the Jalandhar-Amritsar National Highway, just before the Dhilwan Toll Plaza in Kapurthala. Around 14 to 15 people were injured in the accident, and three people, including two women, lost their lives. Upon receiving the information, the Road Safety Force team arrived at the spot and transported the injured to a hospital in Beas for treatment.

Confirming the incident, Dhilwan Police Station SHO Dalvinderbir Singh stated that Investigating Officer ASI Moorta Singh reached the site and has started an investigation.

Providing further information, ASI Kuldeep Singh, in-charge of Road Safety Force Route Number 52902 (Dayalpur-Beas), stated that around 5 a.m., they received a call from a passerby informing them of an accident near Gudana Bridge. He, along with Constables Vikas and Jagtar Singh, immediately reached the location and saw that the accident involved an Ertiga car (registration number HR-67-E-8027), driven by Bhama, son of Dharampal, a resident of Karnal, and another four-wheeler (registration number PB-07-CJ-1390).

Both vehicles had overturned in the collision, and the Ertiga car had fallen off the bridge. A total of 14–15 people were injured, and three—including two women—died in the accident.

All the injured were transported by the Road Safety Force team to a hospital in Beas for treatment, and the case is being investigated by ASI Moorta Singh.
