Stranger Things fame actor Noah Schnapp, best known for playing Will Byers on the Netflix show has come out to be gay. 18-year-old, Noah Schnapp is known for playing the closeted gay teenager Will Byers in the super-hit show Stranger Things. Sharing his sexuality in a video posted on TikTok, Noah Schnapp revealed how his family reacted to it after he confronted them. "When I finally told my friends and family, I was gay after being scared in the closet for 18 years and all they said was we know," Noah wrote.

While referring to his character Will Byers on the hit series, he mentioned in his caption, "I guess I'm more similar to Will than I thought." In the video, the actor can be seen lip-syncing to an audio clip saying, "You know what it never was? That serious. It was never that serious. Quite frankly, will never be that serious."
Back in July during an interview, Noah Schnapp addressed his character in Stranger Things during an interview with a top media house, where he went on to confess that Will is having strong romantic feelings towards his best friend Mike (Finn Wolfhard).
He added further, "Now that he's gotten older, they made it a very real, obvious thing. Now it's 100% clear that he is gay and he does love Mike.”
Noah Schnapp, who is best known for his role in Stranger Things has also starred in a couple of hit films including Steven Spielberg’s historical drama Bridge of Spies which was released in 2015.

He was also dubbed for Charlie Brown’s character in the animated movie, The Peanuts Movie in the same year. Noah has also been featured in Abe, Waiting for Anya, and Hubie Halloween, besides being part of a few music videos including LA Devotee, See You, and In My Feelings. Stranger Things on Netflix turned out to be a super hit that starred Millie Bobby Brown, Winona Ryder, and David Harbour, among other major stars. Show’s first season aired in July 2016 whereas, the 4th season was released in July last year.
