Two aircraft – a Boeing B-17 bomber and a smaller plane suffered a massive collision mid-air at an air show at an Executive Airport in Texas’s Dallas. The video of the incident has been caught on camera and has gone viral now.

The visuals taking rounds on social media show the planes falling on the ground soon after a smaller plane hit a B-17 bomber from behind and busted into flames. Reportedly, all six people who formed the crew from the two planes died in the collision.

The incident caught the immediate attention of The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said its agents and the National Transportation Safety Board has ordered a probe into the incident.

Dallas’ Mayor Eric Johnson condemned the incident through a tweet that said, "As many of you have now seen, we have had a terrible tragedy in our city today during an airshow. Many details remain unknown or unconfirmed at this time. The National Transportation Safety Board has taken command of the crash scene with Dallas Police Department and Dallas Fire-Rescue continuing to provide support.”

The P-63 Kingcobra was a fighter aircraft developed during the same war by Bell Aircraft but used in combat only by the Soviet Air Force. The iconic B-17 suffered its last major crash back in 2019 on October 2nd, which killed 7 people at an airport in Windsor Locks, Connecticut.
