In the latest development, Punjab Vigilance Bureau has arrested Praveen Kumar, MD of Ambika Group who is also said to be a close aid of former Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi. Reportedly, the builder is linked into several projects going on in Mohali as well as Kharar and he is currently booked in the case of passing illegal maps of colonies.
Former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi has also been the President of the Municipal Council at Kharar. Sources have stated that various projects were passed by Praveen Kumar based on forged documents. The matter is under investigation for the time being.
