A heated argument got viral in which an administrative officer in Delhi is seen telling the family of an 11-year-old kid who died in an accident to "shut up" as they protested and demanded action over the incident.

An 11-year-old boy, Anurag Bharadwaj died on Wednesday after he was looking out the window of school transport and collided with a pole. Later, enraged parents and family members marched to Dayawati Public School to protest the school's neglect. The school administrators have been charged with murder, and the bus driver and conductor have been arrested.

Senior officials, including Modinagar SDM Shubhangi Shukla, arrived at the scene as the family began protesting near Hapur road. The victim's mother, Neha Sharma, can be heard repeatedly yelling, "Catch those three people," referring to school officials, in the footage. After then, the SDM tells her to "understand" what the officials have said. The SDM repeatedly tells the mother to "shut up (chup ho jaiye)" and tells her, "I have been trying to explain to you for so long, you are not understanding."

"We learned that the principal was taken to the Niwari police station, which is outside of the (proper) jurisdiction." There was no one there when we arrived. He had been released following questioning, it was later learned. Anurag's aunt, Preeti Bharadwaj, said, "Then we sat down on the road to oppose the action against them because he died due to negligence."

She added, “The language used by the official was no doubt rude, but people must see where we come from. We lost a child in our family. We have to protest. Later on, we met the police and administration officials who gave us in writing that action will be taken.”
