A clip of CCTV footage has gone viral from a busy market of Ferozepur city in Punjab where a vehicle of Police is seen chasing a vehicle of drug peddlers in a Bollywood style.
The incident came to light yesterday when the video was first posted on social media platforms. According to the Ferozepur police, the personnel from the department was on a routine checking near a polytechnic college in the city.
As soon as the police tried to check the vehicle seen in the footage with two men on board, the two sped up their vehicle and were on the run.
In an effort to flee from the site the two caused hurt to one of the gunmen.
The video was posted by a local journalist Gagandeep Singh with the caption, "Punjab Police today nabbed 2 drug peddlers after a hot chase. The dramatic turn of events unfolded in broad daylight near the Bansi Gate area in the heart of Ferozepur city. The incident was captured on CCTV camera and the recording went viral."
The peddlers in White Sedan as seen in the footage barged into a busy market area hurting people and damaging vehicles plying on the road, whereas, two policemen in the black SUV were behind them showcasing a complete Bollywood-style chase.
However, after 10 KM of the chase, the two have been arrested with banned narcotics substances being recovered from them. The police have launched the investigation in the matter with the imposition of relevant charges of offenses against the peddlers.
