A video has gone viral on the internet, amid the continuous rescue operations in flood-hit Telangana. The video clearly shows two men on the top of a JCB excavator, partly submerged in the flood water being rescued by the Indian Air Force Chopper.
The visuals are coming from Somanpalli Village in Chennur. The chopper was called in for the rescue after local MLA Balka Suman approached Municipal Administration Minister KT Rama Rao for assistance in rescuing the two persons. Two persons were successfully rescued from the sight. For a week over, a high alert has been issued in 8-11 districts.
Due to Unusual rains in Maharashtra and the inflow of water from the region the level of Godavari has risen alarmingly. As per the official records around 10 Lakh Cusecs of water were released which is the highest in the past 100 years. The authorities in the region have kept a continuous vigil on the situation to prevent it from worsening.
