Viral Video: Speeding Audi rams into Auto killing one, drunk & drive case registered

In a horrific incident, a 37-year-old man was killed as a speeding Audi hit the autorickshaw. The terrifying accident occurred new Inorbit Mall in the Cyberabad area of Hyderabad on June 27 around 5:30 am. The incident was caught on a CCTV camera.

Reportedly, the accused had consumed alcohol and were returning towards Jubilee Hill when their vehicle hit the auto-rickshaw. While the passenger in the rickshaw died, the driver is critically injured and the driver of Audi along with another occupant has been charged with drunk driving and culpable homicide.

The accused have been identified as Sujith (who was driving the car) and his friend Ashish. Meanwhile, the police say that they have arrested Sujith, his father Raghunandan Reddy and Ashish in the hit and run case.

The victim is identified as Umesh Kumar, who worked in a city-based pub.

According to police, the accused tried to flee away from the spot, however, a tire of the vehicle punctured after hitting the rickshaw. Sujith and Ashish went few meters ahead where they parked the Audi.

They took off the number plate and also threatened security personnel who confronted them and ran away along with the number plates. Sujith's father, Raghunandan Reddy, afterward approached the police and claimed that his driver was to blame for the accident.

CCTV footage, on the other hand, aided authorities in identifying the accused after which father, son and his friend were sent to judicial custody.
