The second special press briefing on Operation Sindoor took place on Monday afternoon by the DGMOs of the three Indian Armed Forces. The media briefing took place after it was reported that the Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) of India and Pakistan had rescheduled for 5:30 pm. Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai, Vice Admiral AN Pramod, and Air Marshal Avdhesh Kumar Bharti addressed the media about Operation Sindoor on Monday as well.
Addressing the media, DG Air Operations Air Marshal AK Bharti said, "We also reiterated that our fight was with terrorists and their support infrastructure and not with the Pakistan military. However, it is a pity that the Pakistan military chose to intervene and bat for the terrorists which compelled us to respond in kind."
"... Numerous waves of drones and unmanned combat aerial vehicles employed by Pakistan were also thwarted by the indigenously developed soft and hard kill counter-UAS systems and the well-trained Indian Air Defence personnel.
DG Air Operations Air Marshal AK Bharti further said, "This brings me to the point, how have Indian Forces managed to minimise the damage to both civilians and military infrastructure in the country, in spite of unrelenting efforts by the Pakistani forces. Most of you and the majority populace within the country have had a lot of say about the layered and integrated air defence systems put in place by the Armed Forces, which include the assets of the Indian Army, Indian Navy, and Indian Air Force. This robust AD system comprises a large variety of multi-layered AD sensors and weapons systems."
"... Some of the results achieved in encountering the enemy threat vectors over the last week are now being shown on the screen. PL-15 missile, which is of Chinese origin; this missile has missed its target, and you can see the pieces of it that are available with us. Another weapon that was found was long-range rockets. We have talked about the Loiter munitions and unmanned aerial systems... All these have been brought down by our trained crew and Air Defence system," added DG Air Operations Air Marshal AK Bharti.

How did the Indian Air Defence System thwart Pakistani Missiles and Drones?
DGMO Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai said, "In the last few years, the character of terrorist activities has changed. Innocent civilians were being attacked.. 'Pahalgam tak paap ka ye ghada bhar chuka tha'..."
DGMO Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai further said, "Targetting our airfields and logistics is way too tough... I saw that Virat Kohli has just retired from test cricket; he is one of my favourites. In the 1970s, during the Ashes between Australia and England, two Australian bowlers destroyed the batting lineup of England, and then Australia gave a proverb - "Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, if Thommo don't get ya, Lillee must". If you see the layers, you'll understand what I am trying to say. Even if you crossed all the layers, one of the layers of this grid system will hit you ."
