Visibility drops to 5 meters in Punjab; IMD issues RED ALERT in 75 cities

The fog continues to wreak havoc in the state Punjab. The visibility was recorded to between 5 to 10 meters in some cities. A drop in the AQI (Air Quality Index) was also recorded which could lead to difficulty in breathing. The IMD has issued a Red Alert for fog in 75 cities across Punjab.

 

The Meteorological Department has advised people to be cautious. It is advised to use fog lights in vehicles while going out on the road. The IMD warns to not leave the house, unless it is absolutely necessary. It is also advised to keep the face covered. The department has issued a red alert for fog in 75 cities.
