Former Pakistani player & presenter Wasim Akram on Tuesday came under the scanner of social media after his video using a casteist slur on live television went viral. Wasim Akram casteist remarks are currently spreading like wildfire on social media and netizens are shell-shocked by the former cricketer's comments. Wasim Akram who many fans believe is the most logical former Pakistani cricketer was slammed on X, formerly known as Twitter. 

 

In the viral Wasim Akram video, the former cricketer was heard using 'CHAMAR'. According to the video, Wasim Akram made the remarks during his discussion session for a Pakistani TV Channel focused on the ongoing Cricket World Cup 2023. 

 

After Wasim Akram casteist comment video went viral on social media, a user wrote, "This is disgusting! They don't even hesitate to use the “च” word which reveals that this derogatory term is used as if it were normal slang. Wasim Akram should not be allowed in India ever."

 

One more user wrote, "I watch Pakistani Punjabi comedy shows. They don't hesistate using racial words.It seems like it's normal in Pakistan."
