Viral Video: Pearl Ozoria, Chitara Plasencia and Tatiyanna Johnson were arrested Sunday after cellphone footage showed them attacking two workers and vandalizing the Bel Fries restaurant on New York City's Lower East Side, as reported.

The anonymous workers were beaten with glass bottles that left lacerations after telling the women it would cost an additional $1.75 for additional sauce. A worker shot the now-viral video showing the culprits smashing up anything they could get their hands on and throwing it at the workers.

A crowd gathered behind the women cheering and filming as the restaurant's security alarm did nothing to stop the attack. The restaurant owner was not present during the attack but woke up to the video the next day. “Two of my employees were hit in the head with glass bottles,” said owner Annalee Schlossberg.

“Something is happening with them, and it had nothing to do with us because it was because of the sauce. That shouldn't require that behaviour,” she added. The women, all in their 20s, were later released. Nazario was the only one required to post bail for claims that he stole $10 from the cash register and punched an officer in the face during the arrest.

Schlossberg also calls out witnesses who saw the melee and cheered the enraged trio instead of stopping them. "As angry as these women were, as crazy as they acted, I think that was egging them on," Schlossberg said. The restaurant was closed for three days due to $250 in damage caused by the ladies, as per reports.

On Thursday, Bel Fries reopened its doors. “My number one priority is to make sure that all of my employees are not only physically fit but mentally fit as well,” Schlossberg said. “I know they are going through traumatic shock from the event.”
