Team India star batter Virat Kohli late Tuesday announced that he has been blessed with a baby boy in a joint statement with his wife Anushka Sharma. Virat took to his social media handle to share the good news with his fans saying that he and his wife have been blessed with a baby boy. In the joint statement, Virat & Anushka also revealed that they have named their son 'Akaay'. The couple requested their fans to give them privacy as well. As per reports, the name "Akaay" is of Turkish origin. It carries a gender-neutral meaning, signifying "Shining Moon." The precise meaning of Akaay is the illuminating light of a full moon. This new addition to their family comes after the birth of their first child, Vamika, in 2021. Anushka Sharma had previously shared an emotional Instagram post, introducing Vamika to the world and expressing profound gratitude for the experience of motherhood.

A few days back industrialist Harsh Goenka took to his X handle and claimed that a baby is going to be born in a few days. Without mentioning Virat or Anushka, Goenka wrote, “A new baby is to be born in the next few days! Hope the baby takes India to great heights like the greatest cricketing father. Or will it follow the mother and be a film star?” Goenka also used the hashtags ‘Made In India’ and ‘To Be Born In London’. This left everyone convinced that the industrialist was talking about Anushka and Virat. Notably, Anushka Sharma's exact delivery date has not been revealed but if Goenka's claim is true then the Bollywood actress will become a mother for the second time in the next few days.
