Anti-drone system deployed on the Punjab borders with Pakistan
In a significant move aimed at bolstering national security and tackling cross-border threats, the Punjab Cabinet, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has approved the deployment of nine advanced anti-drone systems along the state’s 550-kilometre international border with Pakistan.
Addressing the media, CM Mann further said, The Ministers in border areas and one more Minister deployed with them have to permanently make sure that black marketing is not happening in these areas. There is no need to worry about getting oil, queuing up at Petrol-Diesel pumps, or storing a lot of LPG cylinders. If you feel that someone is selling you goods at a higher price or indulging in black marketing, report it to the Deputy Commissioner or any government office... There is no need to panic."
Missile debris found in Hoshairpur
After the failed drone and missile attack by Pakistan on India's Punjab on Thursday night, missile debris were found in the fields of Punjab in multiple areas. As per the information received, a neutralised missile fired by the Pakistanis was discovered in the Kamahi Devi area of Hoshiarpur district. The local police rushed to the site following the report, and the area has been cordoned off for safety.
Initial reports suggest that the missile could be PL-15 that is Beyond Visual Range Air-to-Air Missile (BVRAAM) — a weapon system known to be used by the Chinese military. However, there has been no official confirmation regarding the origin or nature of the object.

In a major development, Lovely Professional University (LPU) has granted students who wish to return to their homes amid ongoing border tensions. LPU on Friday issued an official release in which it stated that it has proactively addressed the concerns of students, parents, and has made flexible arrangements.
In its official release, LPU stated that, considering the current situation and in light of concerns raised by parents and students, LPU has introduced an option for students who wish to return to their hometowns. These students will be allowed to appear for their end-term examinations in online mode, subject to government regulations. The dates and guidelines for these online exams will be communicated in due course of time.
