Famous actor and filmmaker Satish Kaushik died at the age of 66 on Thursday morning. Satish Kaushik’s death information was given by his close Bollywood friend Anupam Kher through a tweet. Anupam Kher wrote, “I know death is the ultimate truth of this world! But I never thought in my dreams that I would write this thing about my best friend #SatishKaushik while alive. Such a sudden full stop on a friendship of 45 years!! Life will NEVER be the same without you SATISH! Om Shanti!”

Satish Kaushik passed away after suffering a heart attack in the NCR. His body is currently at the Fortis Hospital of Gurugram and will be brought back to Mumbai after carrying out a postmortem. As per information, Satish Kaushik went to meet someone in Gurugram when his health deteriorated in the car.

Satish Kaushik was an Indian actor, director, producer, screenwriter and comedian. He completed his studies from the National School of Drama and Film and Television Institute of India and started his career in acting. He started as a theatre artist and his talent later took him to films. He worked in a number of famous films and made a mark in Bollywood. He acted in famous films like Mr. India, Deewana Mastana, Brick Lane, Saajan Chale Sasural. He also directed some hit films like Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja, Prem, Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain and Tere Naam.

Veteran actor, director, producer and screenwriter Satish Kaushik was born on 13th April 1967 in Mahendergarh, Haryana. Satish’s journey has never been easy, it has been full of ups and downs. Satish had to go through a lot of struggle and it started around 1980s. He first got recognition through his character ‘Calendar’ in Mr. India. Before getting into acting, Satish also tried his hand in direction. In 1983, worked with Shekhar Kapur as an assistant director in the film Masoom. He worked in many memorable films and also directed many great films.

The biggest break that Satish Kaushik got as a director from his films Roop Ki Rani, Choron Ka Raja. This film was produced by Boney Kapoor and Anil Kapoor-Sridevi were the stars in the film. He directed a film in which one scene costed Rs. 5 crores in 1992-93. Saddened by its failure, thoughts of suicide started coming in Satish's mind. He himself disclosed this during a TV show.

Satish Kaushik, who used to make people laugh with his comedy in reel life was no less full of sorrows. The death of his son Shanu left him extremely broken. Sanu was only two years old at the time of death.
