WhatsApp to roll out its premium plan in latest beta update, will allow users to add 32 people on call; click for details

Meta-backed messaging platform WhatsApp has started rolling out its brand-new feature of a premium subscription plan, which will enable users to include more members in their contact to make video calls.

The latest feature will also project the option of attaching a website link to your WhatsApp account, however, the premium features are only available for business users, both for Android and IOS for now.

Business owners who operate through WhatsApp will get the option of adding their website links to their accounts, which will give the customers direct access to their website.

With the update and addition of the premium plan, the WhatsApp business owner can connect their account on 10 devices and can bring more people from the current band of 32 altogether on the WhatsApp call.

However, at what cost the premium subscription will be made available has not been revealed by the company as of yet. As per the reports, now the limit for members who can be added to the WhatsApp group has been exceeded to 1024 from the current capacity of 512 people.

However, WhatsApp has not made any official declaration about it. The feature to add more group members has also been released for some users of Android and iOS to test the beta version of the app.

Now the use of WhatsApp will be interesting to develop businesses and enterprises. Pertinently Telegram which is WhatsApp's rival messaging platform provides the option of adding more than 2 lakh users to a group.

The soft war of establishing the supremacy of one over the other has been on between WhatsApp and Telegram for a few years now. In a fresh war of words Telegram founder Povel Durov has alleged WhatsApp spying through their platform.

He went on to say that “WhatsApp has been functioning as a surveillance tool for 13 years.” Identifying a security issue, Powell had said, "Hackers may have access to complete mobile data of WhatsApp users," and advised using some other messaging app instead of WhatsApp.
