When is Holi 2024?

 

According to the Panchang, this year Phalgun Purnima Tithi will start from 09:54 am on March 24 and end the next day i.e. March 25 at 12:29 pm. Holika Dahan is done at night. This year, the auspicious time for Holika Dahan is from 11:13 pm to 12:27 pm. Therefore, you will get a total time of 1 hour 14 minutes for Holika Dahan.

 

Holi is played the next day after Holika Dahan on Phalgun Purnima. Due to the lunar eclipse on March 25 this year, there is confusion in the minds of people about playing with colors. There is confusion among people about whether Holi is on the 25th of March or the 26th of March. A report quoted an Astrologer who informed that the lunar eclipse will not be visible in India, and its Sutak period will also not be valid. Therefore, Holi will be played on 25th March only.
