The tech world in 2023 has been heavily influenced by Artificial Intelligence, which has led to serious competition between AI and humans as numerous companies introduced their AI models. Initially, concerns were focused on AI replacing human jobs, but the threat has now extended to human businesses.

AI-based virtual influencers are increasingly encroaching on traditional human-led business ventures. These virtual influencers, powered by artificial intelligence, are gaining momentum in the market and seizing numerous business opportunities from human hands.

One such AI model, Aitana Lopez, has amassed a social media following of over 200,000 people. This virtual Spanish influencer shares diverse content, from bedroom scenes to concert experiences, and monetizes these posts by tagging various brands, earning approximately $1,000 per post, equivalent to around Rs 83,250.

Lopez, created by designer Rubén Cruz and his agency, The Clueless, has become a prominent figure in the AI influencer landscape. Cruz revealed that the idea of creating Aitana stemmed from his desire to have more control over projects and not be reliant on individuals with egos or specific demands.

Real influencers are particularly feeling the effects of this AI incursion, with many experiencing a decline in earnings due to the rise of virtual influencers. In recent years, numerous substantial partnerships have emerged between luxury brands and these virtual influencers, benefiting the brands by significantly reducing their marketing expenses. Consequently, the demand for such virtual influencers is rapidly escalating.
