Famous Indian comedy actor Atul Parchure has passed away at the age of 57, he was known for his comedic roles in Marathi and Hindi film industry.

On Monday, 14th October, popular Indian actor Atul Parchure passed away at the age of 57. He had been diagnosed with cancer from past few years. Previously in a talk show, he had revealed that doctors had discovered a 5 cm tumour in his liver and he is diagnosed with cancer.

Following the death of the actor, Maharashtra CM, Eknath Shinde shared a grief note on his X handle. His post read, “Sometimes making the audience laugh, sometimes making their eyebrows raise. The death of Atul Parchure, the classic actor, is painful. Atul Parchure started his brilliant acting career right from children's theatre. He left his mark in all the three fields of drama, film and serial. Be it plays like Tarun Turk Matare Arka or Natigoti.”

“Be it Deshpande's verbal, lyrical comedy, Atul Parchure has added depth to it with his qualities. He has played great characters in Marathi and Hindi films as well. Due to his departure, Marathi has lost a classic actor. This loss is not recoverable. As one of the thousands of fans of Parchure, I share in the grief of the family. May God give them the strength to bear this sorrow. On behalf of the state government, I pay tribute to him. Om peace,” he further added.

Who is Atul Parchure? 

Atul Parchure was an Indian actor who performed in several films, television serials, and on stage. He was majorly known for his comedic roles in Marathi and Hindi films. He had worked alongside multiple actors, playing supporting roles.

He has worked in the movies such as Navra Mazha Navsacha, Salaam-E-Ishq, Partner, All the Best: Fun Begins, Khatta Meetha, Bbuddah, Hoga Terra Baap, and Brave Heart. 

In an interview, Atul had revealed that his first treatment aggravated his condition. He said, “My first procedure after the diagnosis went wrong, affecting my pancreas and leading to various complications. The incorrect treatment actually aggravated my condition. I was unable to walk and struggled to speak clearly. In that state, the doctor advised me to wait for a month and a half.”

“They warned that undergoing surgery could result in long-term jaundice or severe liver complications, potentially jeopardising my survival. Eventually, I sought a second opinion, switched doctors, and received the appropriate medication and chemotherapy,” he further added.
